The Los Angeles Dodgers took a 2-1 series lead in the National League Division Series with a 3-1 Game 3 win over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night at Truist Park in Atlanta, USA Today reported.
The game stayed scoreless through three innings, with Braves outfielder Mauricio Dubón robbing Freddie Freeman of what looked like a home run. The Dodgers broke through in the top of the fourth: Kiké Hernández launched a two-run homer — his 17th career postseason home run — and Freeman followed with a solo shot just a few batters later.
Atlanta's response falls short
The Braves got on the board in the bottom of the fifth when Drake Baldwin's groundout brought Dubón home, but that was the end of the scoring. The Dodgers held on to move one win away from the National League Championship Series.
Injury concern for LA
The Dodgers did not escape unscathed: second baseman Miguel Rojas left the game in the eighth inning after an apparent injury sustained during a swing.
What comes next
The series continues on Wednesday, October 7, with Game 4 back at Truist Park at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT), televised on FS1. A decisive Game 5, if necessary, would be played on October 9 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
