NANO Nuclear Energy, IP3 Corporation and Cybernetic Intelligence have signed a letter of intent setting out a framework to jointly pursue nuclear-powered artificial intelligence, national security and computing infrastructure projects, the companies announced.
The announcement was published on Monday via the companies' joint statement. Under the agreement, NANO Nuclear Energy Inc., the NASDAQ-listed advanced nuclear company, will serve as the preferred provider of nuclear technology and services for opportunities explored through the collaboration in the United States and select international markets.
**Who brings what**
The partnership is structured around three complementary roles. NANO Nuclear contributes its advanced microreactor technology, nuclear fuel supply chain and reactor operations expertise. Its reactor products in development include the KRONOS MMR stationary high-temperature gas-cooled reactor, the portable ZEUS solid-core battery reactor and the space-focused LOKI MMR system.
IP3, a US-based nuclear infrastructure integrator, brings project origination, development, financing and government engagement capabilities. Cybernetic Intelligence contributes expertise in AI infrastructure, compute sovereignty and access to potential defence, intelligence and commercial compute customers.
"Advanced nuclear is moving beyond traditional power markets as AI, national security and other strategic industries seek secure, reliable and resilient sources of energy," said James Walker, chief executive officer of NANO Nuclear. "Being selected as a preferred nuclear technology and services provider for opportunities explored under this collaboration is another meaningful step in expanding future commercial pathways."
**A non-binding first step**
The parties say the letter of intent — described as formally executed last month — is a non-binding, non-exclusive framework for exploring opportunities, with any future projects subject to further diligence, regulatory approvals, financing and definitive agreements. An initial workstream would identify a mutually agreed pilot program, with areas under consideration including reactor pilots for military applications, energy-resilience solutions for defence and intelligence installations, sovereign AI and high-performance computing infrastructure, and maritime nuclear applications.
Michael W. Hewitt, chief executive of IP3, said the opportunity in advanced nuclear now turns on execution: converting technology into financeable, buildable projects. Cybernetic Intelligence CEO Maxim Serezhin added that "compute sovereignty ultimately depends on energy sovereignty," arguing that dedicated, resilient power will become a central part of AI infrastructure.
