Accenture shares jumped more than 15% on Thursday in their best single session in years, after the consulting giant reported fiscal fourth-quarter results that beat Wall Street expectations and posted record client bookings that cooled fears about AI disruption.

The company reported adjusted earnings of $3.29 per share, above the $3.19 analysts had expected, with revenue rising 6% year-on-year to $18.68 billion, comfortably ahead of the roughly $18.01 billion consensus estimate.

New bookings rose 4% to $22.17 billion, with consulting bookings of $9.4 billion and managed services bookings of $12.77 billion. The company also recorded a quarterly record of 141 client bookings worth at least $100 million, while full-year revenue reached $74.2 billion.

AI as a tailwind, not a threat

The numbers offered the market a direct answer to the question that had weighed on the stock all year: whether generative AI would quietly erode demand for consulting and managed-services work. Instead, the results suggest rising enterprise AI adoption is creating work for Accenture, as companies turn to it to integrate the technology across their businesses.

For fiscal 2027, management guided revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency and earnings per share of $14.39 to $14.81, while raising the quarterly dividend 5% to $1.71 per share. Accenture said it expects $11–11.8 billion in free cash flow and plans to return at least $9.5 billion to shareholders.
