Ajay Devgn has refused to shut the door on a fourth Drishyam film, even as he maintains that Drishyam: The Conclusion was designed as the finale of the Hindi franchise. In an interview with Gulf News, the actor said the current film was planned as the conclusion — but added the now-viral caveat: "Never say never."

"At the moment, it is a conclusion. I can't predict it," Devgn said when asked whether Vijay Salgaonkar could return. Pressed further, he repeated: "Never say never. But, no, the decision was [that] this is the conclusion, so right now this is the conclusion." The measured response has been enough to keep fan speculation alive, given the franchise's loyal following across three films.
A blockbuster finale
Drishyam: The Conclusion, which released in theatres on October 2, has completed its first week on a strong note. Trade estimates put its first-week worldwide collection at roughly Rs 383–407 crore, making it one of the biggest Hindi openers of the year. The film stars Devgn alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj, and is directed by Abhishek Pathak.
Devgn also revealed that the Hindi team had not initially planned a third film at all. The writers tried several ideas that did not work before finally landing on a story that felt right. The Hindi and Malayalam teams even compared the scripts they were developing; the Malayalam script was judged most suited to its audience, while the Hindi team backed its own script — which is why the third chapter follows its own path rather than the Mohanlal-led original.
For now, there is no official announcement of Drishyam 4. But as Devgn himself put it — never say never.
