Arijit Singh has announced a nine-city India tour to celebrate two decades in music, marking his first major tour of the country since he announced earlier this year that he would stop taking on new playback singing assignments.

The tour kicks off in January 2027 and runs through May, with stops in Ahmedabad (January 9), Chandigarh (January 23), Jaipur (February 7), Mumbai (February 20), Bengaluru (March 13), New Delhi (March 27), Pune (April 10), Indore (May 1) and Hyderabad (May 15).

"20 years of music is a journey I feel very grateful for. The greatest part of it has always been the people, the listeners who have given these songs a life of their own," Arijit said in a statement announcing the tour.

A stadium-scale production

The concert experience is being designed as a large-scale stadium production featuring 360-degree spatial audio, kinetic LED fixtures, panoramic screens, laser arrays and pyrotechnics. The tour is produced and promoted by Team Innovation.

Mohit Bijlani, founder of Team Innovation, said every detail of the journey is being designed to world-class standards, offering fans a live experience at a scale never seen before in the singer's home country.

First tour since the retirement announcement

Arijit's last India tour, "One Night Only – India Tour", concluded in Delhi in March 2023 after covering Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi.

In January, the singer announced on Instagram that he would no longer take new assignments as a playback vocalist, calling it quits on a "wonderful journey". Several of his songs have continued to appear in films through earlier commitments, including "Phir Se" from Dhurandhar: The Revenge, "Ghar Kab Aaoge" from Border 2, all five songs from the Junaid Khan-starrer Ek Din, "Tujhko" from Cocktail 2, and his voice for Salman Khan's Matrubhoomi.
