Australia on Tuesday announced its seven-member squad for the Hong Kong Sixes 2026, naming all-rounder Chris Green as captain for the fast-paced six-a-side tournament.
Green will lead a squad comprising Jack Wood, Max Bryant, Nick Hobson, Kane Richardson, Alex Ross and Matt Kelly. The Hong Kong Sixes brings together teams from across the world in a high-scoring format that rewards aggressive batting and sharp fielding.
JSW Sports comes on board
The 2026 edition will be the first with JSW Sports as Commercial Partner — marking the organisation's first partnership with an international sporting property. Cricket Hong Kong's marketing director Anuraag Bhatnagar said Australia's participation adds an exciting dimension to the tournament.
A proven draw
The Sixes format, with its six-over innings and rapid-fire matches, has a loyal following in Hong Kong and beyond, and Australia's confirmed presence adds star power to the field.
