Disney and Marvel's reissue of Avengers: Endgame, retitled Avengers: Endgame Encore, has taken the film's lifetime global total to about $2.885 billion — leaving it just $39 million short of Avatar's all-time record of about $2.924 billion.
The re-release, which opened on September 25, 2026 with exclusive new footage tied to Avengers: Doomsday, earned an estimated $86 million worldwide in its opening weekend (September 25-27), per Deadline and Disney — the second-highest global debut ever for a re-release.

The weekend split was $26 million domestic and $60 million international, across more than 3,000 theatres — including over 1,300 Infinity Vision screens, which delivered roughly 52 per cent of the opening. IMAX screens alone generated $13.7 million ($4 million domestic, $9.7 million abroad), and it was the first re-release since The Lion King 3D to top the North American box office.
