AiMOGA Robotics, the robotics brand of Chinese carmaker Chery, will formally unveil Mobo — its first consumer-grade humanoid robot built for home companionship — and open global pre-orders at the 2026 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu from October 19 to 23.
The announcement, carried by Channel News Asia via GlobeNewswire, says the summit — themed "ECO-TECH FOR OUR FUTURE LIFE" — will showcase AiMOGA's wider robot portfolio and demonstrate how Chery is extending its automotive engineering, manufacturing and supply-chain expertise into embodied AI and intelligent living.
Goal-driven AI for the home
Mobo runs on AiMOGA's proprietary MoAgent AI system, which the company says is designed to interpret complex instructions, break them into actionable steps and plan longer-term tasks rather than merely respond to isolated commands. Combining spatial perception with multimodal interaction, the robot can recognise objects, use voice, visual information and conversational context, and navigate home environments with dynamic obstacle avoidance.
A full-body system with 22 degrees of freedom enables expressive gestures, stable movement and even dance routines. The robot is designed to remember individual family members' habits and preferences, with privacy protection built in from the outset, according to the company. Mobo was previously exhibited at the World Robot Conference and the World Manufacturing Convention; the Wuhu summit will be its formal global showcase, with pre-orders opening at the same time.
From factories to living rooms
At the summit, AiMOGA will also demonstrate police robots for patrol and traffic guidance, healthcare robots for visitor guidance at medical stations, the Mornine robot in livestreaming and checkout-free retail zones, and the Argos Pro quadruped for autonomous following and load carrying. Mobo will demonstrate companionship and educational support for the home.
The company says it already operates across more than 100 use cases — from vehicle dealerships and retail to government services, traffic management, security, education and healthcare — with cumulative global deliveries of over 3,000 units across more than 60 countries and regions. The Mobo launch extends its reach from commercial services into the consumer market, guided by what Chery calls its "In Somewhere, For Somewhere, Be Somewhere" operating philosophy.
