The 26th edition of FICCI FRAMES, India's flagship convention for the business of media and entertainment, opened in Mumbai on Tuesday for a two-day run at the Grand Hyatt.
Anchored on the theme "India's Media Moment: Creating Value in an Age of Infinite Content", the convention brings together actors, creators, business leaders and policymakers to examine how the country's media and entertainment industry can turn the abundance of content across television, streaming, films, sports, gaming, live events and the creator economy into lasting value.
The inaugural session features FICCI president Anant Goenka, Kevin Vaz, chair of the FICCI Media and Entertainment Committee and CEO of entertainment at JioStar, and actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is the FRAMES ambassador this year.
The star line-up includes Ajay Devgn, Rajkummar Rao, Ravi Kishan, Rupali Ganguly and Ranveer Brar, alongside filmmakers Ashutosh Gowariker, Shoojit Sircar and Richie Mehta. One of the most watched sessions will be a special discussion on the Drishyam franchise, bringing together Ajay Devgn, director Abhishek Pathak and producers Kumar Mangat Pathak of Panorama Studios and Alok Jain of JioStar — days before the third Drishyam film releases in theatres.
Rajkummar Rao and filmmaker Dinesh Vijan will discuss the future of Indian cinema, while the programme also includes a screening of an episode from Amazon Prime Video's Dupahiya 2. Senior executives from JioStar, Zee Entertainment, Sony Pictures, Amazon Prime Video and Meta will join producers including Ekta Kapoor, Vipul Shah and Guneet Monga for industry discussions.
The convention takes place against the backdrop of a fast-expanding industry. According to the FICCI-EY report released in March 2026, India's media and entertainment industry reached Rs 2.78 lakh crore in 2025 and is expected to grow to Rs 3.3 lakh crore by 2028.
