Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi's upcoming romantic-action entertainer Gunmaaster G9 has secured another major distribution deal ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026, with Phars Film acquiring the film's overseas distribution rights.
The deal marks the second significant distribution tie-up for the film within days. PEN Marudhar had earlier won a bidding war to bag the all-India theatrical distribution rights for Rs 35 crore-plus, alongside the Hindi rights of Rajinikanth's Jailer 2.
Trade momentum building
The overseas pact underlines the strong trade interest the film has generated. The teaser, released in August, has crossed 22 million views on YouTube, while the first song, 'Afsaana Banaaya Aapne' — which reunites Emraan Hashmi and Himesh Reshammiya nearly two decades after their earlier collaborations — has crossed 43 million views and continues to feature on India's trending music charts.
Gunmaaster G9 stars Emraan Hashmi alongside Genelia Deshmukh, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Singh. It is directed by Aditya Datt, who first worked with Hashmi and Reshammiya in 2005, and is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut and Sangeeta Ahir, presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
