HCLTech will demonstrate its portfolio of AI-powered platforms and engineering accelerators at the India Mobile Congress 2026, the IT services major announced on Tuesday, as telecom operators around the world move toward AI-native operations.
The India Mobile Congress, the industry's flagship event in the country, runs from October 7 to October 10, 2026.
According to the company, the solutions it will showcase address the telecom industry's strategic priorities, including autonomous networks, OSS modernisation, network monetisation and mediation, network cloudification, AI-powered service assurance, Open RAN engineering, intelligent infrastructure and the evolution toward 6G.
Decades of telecom investment
"HCLTech has spent decades building telecom-specific IP, talent and partnerships, and we will continue to invest in these as the industry embraces AI-native operations and 6G," said Hari Sadarahalli, Corporate Vice President and Global Head of Engineering and R&D Services at HCLTech.
The Noida-headquartered company says its telecom engineering capabilities, spread across more than 35 dedicated labs, serve over 100 telecom operators globally, including 25 of the world's top 30.
HPE acquisitions add muscle
HCLTech said its acquisitions of the Communications Technology Group and the Telecom Solutions business from Hewlett Packard Enterprise have further strengthened these capabilities, adding intellectual property, carrier-grade software products and specialist expertise across BSS, OSS modernisation, network monetisation and data intelligence.
The announcement comes as telecom operators are under pressure to cut operational costs, monetise 5G investments and prepare for the 6G era, with artificial intelligence emerging as the central technology for running networks autonomously.
