Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) has received a letter of award for the engineering, procurement and construction of a gas pipeline project in the United Arab Emirates, marking one of the largest international wins in the company's history. The company classified the order as a "Major" contract, which in its disclosure framework means a value exceeding Rs 4,000 crore.
The win, announced through an exchange filing by managing director and chief executive Manish Mohnot, comes in the normal course of business and significantly strengthens KPIL's Middle East footprint.
Order Book at a Record High
The latest award adds to what is already the company's strongest-ever order position. KPIL's order book stood at Rs 66,607 crore as of June 30, 2026, the highest in its history. Order inflows so far in FY27 have crossed Rs 7,668 crore, with another roughly Rs 7,300 crore of orders where the company is the lowest bidder or favourably placed.
Transmission and distribution alongside buildings and factories — the company's core segments — together account for 91 per cent of the inflows so far this year. KPIL has set an FY27 order-inflow target of around Rs 30,000 crore, which management has indicated could be revised upward by the end of the second quarter of the fiscal year.
Global Expansion Footnote
The award coincides with another international milestone for the group: on September 25, KPIL's Swedish step-down subsidiary Linjemontage i Grästorp AB was listed on Nasdaq Stockholm at SEK 46 a share, valuing it at SEK 2,357 million — reported as the first time an Indian company has listed a foreign subsidiary on the Swedish bourse.
