Marvel Television has announced a brand-new live-action series titled "Zodiac," described as a spy thriller, set to premiere on Disney+ in 2028. The announcement was made on October 8 by Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, Animation, Comics and Franchise, during Marvel's panel at New York Comic Con 2026.

Winderbaum unveiled the show's official logo on stage, teasing that its title design hides clues for comic-book readers. "It's a spy thriller," he told the crowd, according to Marvel's official announcement. "And for anyone who knows the comics, if you look closely at this title design, you'll see a few clues about where we're going."
The series will begin shooting in London in spring 2027, and casting is set to begin in the coming weeks. Beyond that, Marvel is keeping details tightly under wraps. "And no, I can't tell you anything else about it yet because it's a secret!" Winderbaum added.
Reports from the panel noted that the logo embeds the S.H.I.E.L.D. emblem in the letter "A" and a zodiac-wheel motif in the letter "O," fuelling fan speculation about ties to the espionage organisation and the comics' Zodiac cartel of zodiac-themed supervillains. In Marvel Comics, the Zodiac name has been used by criminal organisations whose members are based on the Western zodiac, often depicted as antagonists of the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Zodiac reveal headlined a busy Marvel Television and Marvel Animation panel at the convention, which runs from October 8 through October 11. The studio also confirmed three new "Marvel Zombies" animated specials — "Winter Soldier" arriving for Halloween 2027, "The Fist of Khonshu" in 2028 and "The Last Guardian" in 2029 — and screened the first episode of "VisionQuest," the new series debuting on October 14.
Attendees also got an early look at the third season of "X-Men '97" and learned that the second season of "Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man" will debut on Disney+ on January 13, 2027, Filmfare reported.
