One of Indian television's longest-running reality franchises returns today. MTV Roadies Rebirth, the 21st season of the adventure reality show, premieres on October 16 with a revamped format and its widest-ever distribution.
A new format: OGs vs NewGs
The new season is built around a fresh theme — OGs versus NewGs — pitching returning veterans against digital-era creators. Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, the season brings back familiar faces, including Prince Narula, face-to-face with creators such as Abhishek Malhan, popularly known as Fukra Insaan. The season carries a Phoenix-inspired identity, signalling a fresh start for the franchise.
In a first for the show, six gang leaders will compete against one another this season, promising a major shake-up in how tasks and eliminations play out. Episodes will air on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 PM IST across JioHotstar, Netflix and MTV India.
A packed streaming Friday
Roadies Rebirth arrives on an unusually crowded October 16 lineup. Netflix also adds Money Trap: The Karun Treasure, about a con artist chasing a legendary treasure; Apple TV brings Tenzing, on Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay's 1953 Everest expedition with Edmund Hillary; Amazon Prime Video premieres Masterplan, a heist story targeting the Mona Lisa; Lionsgate Play adds the satirical eco-thriller Sacrifice; ZEE5 streams the Malayalam psychological thriller Aasha; and SonyLIV premieres DC, a gritty crime reimagining of Devdas.
