The biggest Malayalam film of all time is heading to streaming. 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit', which became the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever during its theatrical run, will premiere on JioHotstar on October 2, 2026.
JioHotstar Malayalam confirmed the OTT date, which lands a little over six weeks after the film's August 21, 2026 theatrical release. The film will stream in five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
A record-breaking run
The Nivin Pauly-starrer crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide within 24 days of release, overtaking 'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' (Rs 301.41 crore) to claim the all-time Malayalam box office crown. The Week puts its worldwide total at Rs 326.98 crore, with roughly Rs 152 crore coming from Kerala alone — the first Malayalam film to cross the Rs 150 crore mark from the state.
Its India collection stands at Rs 189.23 crore (net Rs 162.10 crore), with overseas earnings of around Rs 137.75 crore — all on an estimated production budget of Rs 25–35 crore.
