What analysts say

Nomura expects bank earnings for the quarter to show high-teens loan growth with stable asset quality, sustaining through the second half of FY27. The brokerage cautioned that near-term margins remain pressured by surplus liquidity linked to FCNR(B) deposits, likely easing by Q3 FY27, and added that an expected repo-rate hike should support net interest margins for banks with a higher share of floating-rate loans.

All figures reported are provisional business updates; audited quarterly results will follow in the coming weeks.
