Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar had a narrow escape on Monday when a firecracker exploded close to him during a promotional event for his new film 'Bail' in Chitradurga, Karnataka. The actor was unhurt, though visibly shaken.
The incident occurred at a private showroom in the city, where enthusiastic fans had gathered in large numbers to welcome the actor and were bursting firecrackers as part of the celebrations. According to Bangalore Times, whose reporting was cited by LatestLY, Shivarajkumar remained unharmed thanks to the quick reflexes of his security personnel and supportive fans who shielded him. The actor, momentarily shocked, quickly regained his composure and continued to interact with the crowd.
The Chitradurga visit is part of the ongoing promotions for 'Bail', the action-drama that hit theatres on October 2. Directed by Pavan Wadeyar, the film presents Shivarajkumar as a retired police commissioner who turns vigilante, alongside Jayaram and Sai Kumar in key roles.
