A day before the release of Jason Sanjay's directorial debut Sigma, actor Sundeep Kishan publicly alleged that a paid campaign was driving negative social media posts against him and his film.

What Sundeep alleged
Taking to X on Thursday, the actor said he had noticed "a lot of targeted anti Tweets coming at me and my film over the last few days." Without naming anyone, he alleged that he knew exactly who was behind the posts and who was paying for them, and warned that "you have more to lose than me," adding in Telugu that if things became "too direct, everyone will get caught, so be careful."

Fans responded with messages of support, with several urging him to ignore the negativity and focus on the film. One user wrote, "Please reveal their names, bro. Let everyone know." The allegations have not been independently verified, and no one named by Sundeep has responded publicly.

Jyotika voices support
Actor Jyotika came out in support of the team, posting on Instagram: "Dear @jason.sanjay official and team, My heartfelt wishes for SIGMA. Been watching your promotions with so much joy. Seeing the young man you've grown into — so mature, composed, real, and above all, the finest son to your parents — tells me you deserve every bit of the success coming your way. Wishing you and the whole team a wonderful release."

About Sigma
Sigma marks Jason Sanjay's directorial debut and released in Tamil and Telugu on October 2. Produced by Lyca Productions with music by Thaman S, the heist comedy stars Sundeep Kishan alongside Faria Abdullah, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Yog Japee, Sheela Rajkumar and Raju Sundaram. The film was initially scheduled for July 31 but was postponed after Vijay's much-delayed final film Jana Nayagan was set for July 23. Jason has described the film as the story of a man fighting for his identity, and has revealed that even his father, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, has not watched it yet.
