A rare public display of affection between actor Vidya Balan and her producer husband Siddharth Roy Kapur has gone viral on social media after the couple was spotted at Mumbai airport.
In the video, which surfaced online on Monday, Siddharth is seen accompanying Vidya to the airport to see her off. The couple paused outside the terminal to pose for the waiting paparazzi, and before Vidya headed inside, the two shared a kiss and a warm embrace, then another hug as they said their goodbyes.
Why it caught attention
The moment drew outsized attention because Vidya and Siddharth, who married in Mumbai on December 14, 2012, are known for keeping their personal life away from the spotlight. The pair rarely makes joint public appearances, so the candid send-off stood out to fans and photographers alike.
Within hours, the clip was circulating widely across Instagram and X. Fans flooded the comment sections, with many calling the couple adorable and some urging Vidya to appear alongside her husband at more public events.
"The way they kissed each other" and similar reactions dominated the responses, as followers praised the couple's easy, understated chemistry away from red carpets and promotional appearances.
On the work front
Vidya, 47, will next be seen in Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, according to industry reports. Siddharth Roy Kapur remains one of Bollywood's prominent film producers.
